In this study, virulence factors such as serum resistance, aerobactin iron uptake systems, adhesins (type 1 fimbria, P S afimbrial adhesins), haemolysine, uropathogenic spesific protein and cytotoxic necrotizing factor in 45 Escherichia coli isolates from dogs cats with urinary tract genital system infections, were investigated by both phenotypic methods molecular methods. PCR examinations of E. coli, hlyA gene was detected 73.3% all isolates. fimH found 100%, papC 71.1%, sfaDE 82.2%, afaBC 0% the iucD, traT, usp, cnf1 cvaC genes 20%, 84.4%, 75.5%, 11.1% isolates, respectively. According to isolation rate haemolytic activity on blood agar, is commonly seen these strains important infections especially pathogenesis. İsolates be a high positive for usp gene.
